  • Deep water entry off a Pontoon. Wear a tow float as can be other users/boats.Can get quite shallow if you hug the shore on the North-East of the Island.

  • About 500m walk from car park in Balmaha to pontoon.

  • Other users and long swim. Need to be confident in open water and fit enough to swim the distance, however there are usually people on the island if you get into difficulty.

  • 15-18 in summer, 2-6 in winter.

  • Not routinely tested but likely to be similar to Luss quality.

  • Building up endurance for longer swims. Beautiful setting and good sense of accomplishment.

  • Need to be confident in open water and have good endurance, shallow around island but otherwise assume won't be able to touch the bottom.
