Loch Lommond / Fraoch Island

Rocky, small, scenic uninhabited island with lots of birds. Swimming from Luss Beach to the island and around and back is about 1.5km-2km swim.

Very close to Car Park Beach and gradual incline.
Small grassy bank down to beach from Car Park.
Popular area for tourist boats, SUPs, kayakers and water vehicles. Wear bright caps and tow floats.
15-18 in summer ,2-6 in winter.
Water quality is tested regularly anand the results can be accessed here - https://bathingwaters.sepa.scot/locations-and-results/results/?location=125080. Overall very good for summer 2024 - quality can be poorer after heay rainfall.
