  • Approx 50-100m.

  • Popular area for tourist boats, SUPs, kayakers and water vehicles. Wear bright caps and tow floats. .

  • 15-18 in summer, 2-6 in winter.

  • Water quality is tested regularly anand the results can be accessed here - https://bathingwaters.sepa.scot/locations-and-results/results/?location=125080. Overall very good for summer 2024 - quality can be poorer after heay rainfall.

  • If you want to do some open water practice solo, can do 250m laps parallel to the beach, with lots of other users and water-sports its as safe as it can be. Just wear tow float.
